Content & Advertising Standards
This page summarises how Plain English SA Forms meets advertising and publisher content policies. It is written for readers who want to know how we work, and for ad-network reviewers assessing the site.
Original, useful content
Every guide is written by us, in plain English
We do not copy or scrape government text. Each guide is an original explainer written from the official requirements, with our own step-by-step ordering, worked examples and common-mistake sections.
Substantial content on every indexed page
Guides, permit pages and templates each carry who it applies to, what you need, the full process, fees, timeframes, FAQs and official links — no one-line stubs remain on the site.

The PAYE estimator and the UIF estimator are our own calculations, documented on the page and stamped with the date their rules were last reviewed against official sources.

Word templates are free, unlocked, and paired with written instructions and a filled-in South African example so the page has value even without downloading.

The About page explains who runs the site, why it exists and how guides are researched and reviewed.
About usIndependence disclaimer on every page
We are not a government body. A disclaimer appears in the footer sitewide, plus prominent official-source links to Home Affairs, SARS, SASSA and the Department of Employment and Labour.

How advertising is handled
Ads never imitate content or navigation
Ad units sit in clearly separated blocks between sections, are labelled, and never appear as buttons, form fields or download links.
No ads on low-value screens
Search results and error pages carry no ad units and are excluded from indexing.
Accurate, current information
Guides and templates display Last reviewed and Last updated dates, and rule changes are re-checked against the official source before the date is moved.
Nothing restricted or sensitive is monetised for shock value
Content covers civic and administrative processes only — no adult, violent, or misleading material, and no claims that we can obtain documents on a reader's behalf.
Ownership and advertising disclosure
Plain English SA Forms is an independent publisher, not a government department or agency. The site is free to use and is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no influence over what we publish, and we never charge for information or for submitting an application on your behalf. Our advertising authorisation file is published at /ads.txt.
